Before becoming a naturopathic physician, I obtained a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Pharmacology and a Master of Business Administration degree in Health Administration. I then went on to graduate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where I received the President’s Award of Excellence for his contributions. Upon graduation, I was elected to the board of the Canadian Naturopathic Association (now the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors) where I sat on the Government Relations and External Communications committees. Most recently, I served as co-President of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association.
I have board-certified to perform several advanced therapies including:
- Acupuncture
- Intravenous (IV) Therapy
- Chelation Therapy
- Oxidative Therapies
- Pharmaceutical Prescriptive Authority
- Prolotherapy
Using the principles of naturopathic medicine, my treatment approach focuses on the individual patient (not the disease) and applies a wide range of therapies to address the patient’s nutritional deficiencies, allergies/toxicities, structural injuries, and mental/emotional stresses. This supports and stimulates the body’s natural healing.
One of the things that drew me towards naturopathic medicine is the eclectic nature of the profession and I enjoy using a wide variety of treatment modalities to help patients achieve their health goals. As a life-long sports enthusiast and athlete, I have pursued my interest in sports medicine and the treatment of pain and injury. Now, I also have a keen interest in longevity medicine and helping people to age well. As such, my practice is focused on diet and nutrition, fasting, weight loss, and regnerative injection therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
